COMPASSION MINISTRY & GLOBAL MISSIONS
We are on a mission to rescue starving children from the streets of the Philippines and abandoned children from the trash heaps of Guatemala.
There is a familiar saying which states: “You can’t really understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.” At Crosspointe Church, we want you to experience what it would be like to walk in the shoes of one of our children from our feeding centers. We know that if you can see what they see, smell what they smell, taste what they taste and touch what they touch, you will have a greater understanding of their daily struggle to survive.
Awareness is our greatest weapon in the fight against physical and spiritual poverty. As more people become aware, the more children we will be able to reach.
Last year we took people just like you on multiple trips to visit our projects around the world. We provide opportunities to do community outreaches, service projects, teach Bible stories, make home visits, sight-seeing, and so much more. And on every one of those trips, people came home changed, their hearts touched by a child they encountered on a trip.
All our trips are usually 5 to 12 days. We run trips year round, but the bulk of these take place from spring through fall.
We attempt to schedule trips to visit as many different projects and locations as possible, thus providing you with a wide array of experiences and locations to choose from.

The Need: Currently, there are approximately 1.7 million children living in the slums of metro Manila, Philippines. These children are faced with extreme poverty and forced to wander the streets looking for provisions for their basic needs. These undernourished children face sickness, street fights, sexual exploitation, and exposure to substance abuse. Many of these children can be found sniffing glue to numb their hunger pains.
The Mission: RESCUING STARVING CHILDREN FROM THE STREETS OF THE PHILIPPINES
The Difference you can make: We currently support missionary Lance Gotcher in metro Manila, Philippines. He oversees 4 churches in this area and is reaching over 2,000 Filipinos every weekend. In addition, we partner with Manna Worldwide by sponsoring 3 feeding centers connected with these local churches. Daily we are feeding hundreds of children physically and spiritually in Jesus’ Name. The cost is only $1 a day to feed a child.
The Need: There are approximately 400,000 orphans in Guatemala City. With a lack of orphanages to care for these children, kids are wandering the trash heaps of Guatemala looking for food, water, and clothing. In addition, due to extreme poverty, parents are throwing their infants away because they cannot afford to care for them.
The Mission: RESCUING ABANDONED CHILDREN FROM THE TRASH HEAPS OF GUATEMALA
The Difference you can make: We are partnering with Manna Worldwide and completed building an orphanage to rescue abandoned children from the trash heaps of Guatemala. The orphanage is able to give them 24/7 care, food, clothing, shelter, and education. The cost is only $10 a day per child.
We have an opportunity to offer faith, hope, and love to the world’s neediest children. We are partnering with Christian leaders to have the greatest impact as we provide nutritious meals, emergency medical care, clean water, and spiritual hope.
We want to reach children that suffer most and equip them to achieve their full potential in Christ. And when we pray, give and go, we are making this desperate need a reality.
